When you enable payment collection for your event, we charge a 5% platform fee. This covers:
• Payment processing through Stripe
• Secure payment infrastructure
• PCI compliance and fraud protection
• Payment tracking and reporting
• Automatic payment confirmation emails
Example: If you charge $20 per slot and collect $200 total, the platform fee is $10. You receive $190.

Is Mercury List really free?
Yes! Mercury List is completely free for creating sign-up sheets, managing volunteers, and organizing events. You only pay the 5% platform fee when you choose to collect payments from participants.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees whatsoever. There are no setup fees, monthly subscriptions, or per-user charges. The only fee is the 5% platform fee when you collect payments, which is clearly disclosed upfront.
What payment methods do you accept?
We use Stripe for secure payment processing, which accepts all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), as well as digital wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay.
When do I receive my payment?
Payments are processed through Stripe and typically deposited to your bank account within 2-7 business days. You can track all payments in your Stripe dashboard.
Can I issue refunds?
Yes, you can issue full or partial refunds through your Stripe dashboard. Refunded fees will be returned proportionally. Please note that Stripe's processing fees are not refundable.
Do participants need to create an account?
No! One of our best features is that participants can sign up without creating an account. This reduces friction and increases participation rates. Only organizers need to create an account.
Is there a limit to how many events I can create?
No limits! Create as many events, time slots, and sign-up sheets as you need. Mercury List is designed to scale with your needs, whether you're organizing one event or hundreds.
What kind of support do you offer?
